Birmingham Manor was built between 1904 and 1905 by master carpenter and contractor Colonel John Lant Youngs as his personal residence. Colonel Youngs built many homes and public buildings in Stratford, including the magnificent City Hall. He also served as Mayor and Colonel of the Perth Regiment. This house reflects his pride as a master builder and his status in the community. It remained in the Youngs family for over 75 years. In 1988, it underwent extensive renovations and restorative work and has been a luxury B&B for 23 years, featuring 6 bedrooms and 6 full bathrooms.
