Snyder's Shoreline Inn- Ludington, overlooks Lake Michigan at the west end of Ludington Avenue. Panoramic views of Ludington's deepwater harbor and a historic lighthouse are shared by all lakefront rooms at the Inn. Across from Snyder’s, at Stearns Park, is a half mile of white sand beach with shuffleboard courts, mini-golf, concession stands and a picnic area. The Inn is just a few short blocks from the downtown business district, with easy access to shopping, dining and the cross-lake car & passenger ferry service. This lakefront community has a rich bounty of antique shops, craft stores, gift shops, art galleries and local confectioners.
Originally built during the 1950’s, the current owners have been continually & tastefully updating the inn since they purchased it in 1986. They have put on two major additions, one in 1990 and one in 1994. The two story main building contains the office, breakfast room and a 2 bedroom keepers’ penthouse and 30 guestrooms. The two story, South Wing building, has 14 guestrooms. All but 9 of the 44 guestrooms provide a lake view. This 20,000+ sq. ft. inn is situated on a nicely landscaped, 1 acre parcel which also features a pool, spa & a large paved, parking area.
Guestrooms are individually decorated and have a phone, guest controlled heat & air, private bath, wireless internet access and cable television. A complimentary continental breakfast is provided in the breakfast room. Seven of the guestrooms have a two-person whirlpool tub. Many of the guestrooms offer a wet bar, refrigerator, microwave, VCR, king bed, handmade furniture, a sitting area and a jetted bathtub. Nightly rental rates vary by season and range from $69 to $299. The second floor keeper’s elegant penthouse suite has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a large great room, and an enclosed 3 season room and large deck with spectacular sunset views of Lake Michigan.
