CLOSED- FILED CHAPTER 7

Twin Gables Inn is located across the street from Lake Kalamazoo which meanders into nearby Lake Michigan. This popular year-round destination is hailed as the Art Coast of Michigan and has been designated both a Cool City and a Beach Town is home to many critically acclaimed artists. Midwest Living has named Saugatuck one of the best Weekend Destinations in the Midwest.

The 10,000+ sq. ft., historic Inn has 15 guestrooms, all with private baths, 3 private guest cottages, 2 bedroom innkeepers’ quarters (main floor), 2.5 car garage all located on 1.5 nicely landscaped, rolling acres. Site amenities include off street paved parking, spacious, comfortable common areas, beautiful year-round front porch, and central air conditioning, a 7-person hot tub on the lower level, a seasonal outdoor heated pool and a large brick patio for lounging and sunning.

The Twin Gables Inn unique features include original maple floors, embossed ceiling, spacious, new commercial kitchen and a large wood-burning fireplace. Each of the 15 guestrooms is tastefully decorated and each room is named for a different wine. Six guestrooms have king-size beds (three are suited-sized rooms), 8 have queen-size beds and (our smallest room) has full-size bed. These rooms range in size from 115 to 300 square feet and range in price from $86 to $266. Five of the rooms have a gas fireplace & the loft suite features a jetted-whirlpool tub. 10 of the B&B rooms have been completely redecorated within the past 5 years.

Three separate quaint cottages each afford a different B&B experience. The Napa Valley Cottage and the Sonoma Valley Cottage have 2 bedrooms, central air, gas fireplace, TV/DVD/CD player with cable, and a fully equipped kitchen. The Loire Valley Cottage has the same features except only 1 bedroom.

The owners of this quaint Saugatuck inn have closed the inn and are in Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. This B&B did not fail; its operators made some poor business decisions. In 2011, Twin Gables grossed almost $500K! In 2008 it was appraised at $2.2M!

Make an offer! The list price includes most of the tasteful furnishings. All purchase agreements are subject to the Bankruptcy Court approval.
