Msafini hotel is a newly established hotel in shella village of Lamu county (Lamu Island). Located just 2 minutes walk away from the water front. Designed and constructed in both new and ancient design and architecture. Restaurant is an ideal place to enjoy a paranomic view of the sea, manda island and the sand dunes. You can also have your breakfast as you watch the sunrise, even you can have dinner as you watch stars and moon. For those stay at Msafini hotel can be served at your room on request. The hotel has a chef and fantastic cooks who are experience and can assist guests with anything they required during their stay in Lamu County. You can also enjoy traditional Swahili foods.
Our rooms
Msafini Hotel has fourteen self contained en-suit rooms with each having a private balcony. The rooms are specious comfortable, well ventilated and beds covered with mosquito nets. We have spacious balconies with traditional chairs and beds arranged around, our bathrooms have got hot water. We have adequate accommodation with option of Twins Rooms, Double rooms, Triple rooms for both short and long stays; we also offer bed and breakfast, half board and full board. We have rooms facing sea view and other facing dunes view. The hotel can also be booked for private functions either as a whole or part.
The hotel has its own boat and very friendly crew, Ask about trips to the neighboring island. Whether you want to take a trip around Lamu island or plain a longer excursion to the neighboring island and incredible Takwa ruins including fishing and diving trips, all your needs will be catered by our staff. Other activities include snorkeling, sunset trips, traditional henna painting; donkey rides on shella beach, visiting dhow building sites, the lamu museum etc
The hotel also organize and celebrating wedding parties in the traditional ways….wearing Swahili clothing and playing stick dance (kirumbizi)
