The Inn at Norwood is centrally located in the heart of Historic Sykesville, Maryland. Built in 1906 by the architect J.H. Fowble, the Inn at Norwood is a Colonial Revival home retaining much of its original charm and offers an atmosphere of warmth, tranquility, and elegance. Mr. Fowble built many of the buildings in the town of Sykesville, but he built the Inn as his family's residence. Relax on the front porch overlooking the town, or just snuggle up in the parlor next to our corn burning stove with a good book. The large guest rooms all contain private baths, cable television, DVD players, air conditioning, and Free wireless internet. All our rooms have large Jacuzzi tubs, fireplaces, and the highest quality linens.

About the Town
The Town of Sykesville, located in Carroll County, is on the National Register of Historic places. The quaint town was named for James Sykes, who purchased the land from George Patterson. The town has a completely restored Railroad Station which was originally built in 1884 and is now a restaurant. Sykesville has much to offer: great restaurants, a museum, festivals throughout the year, hiking and many bike trails, fishing, antique shops and much more.
