Charming Queen Anne style Victorian home built in 1879 has been the #1 bed and breakfast in Hot Springs on Trip Advisor since 2015 and is now for sale. The home was built by German immigrant, Gus Straus, who was believed to be one of Hot Springs' first bankers and the builder of the first Arlington Hotel.
The home has approximately 4,562 square feet of charm, dignity, and character. The home has a total of six bedrooms and six baths. Four of the bedrooms are placed in the four corners of the second floor so that none of the bedrooms share a common wall providing complete privacy. Each bedroom has its own individual style, and, all have a private bathrooms. There is another bedroom and full bath on the third level which was totally renovated in 2013, and the sixth bedroom and bath is on the main level, and is currently being used as an office with wall to wall built in countertops, and french doors leading outside to the fenced in patio. The home has been fully renovated and restored to its original historic style and features a winding staircase, beautiful hardwood floors and molding, and zoned heat and air.
