EXPERIENCE San Juan!

From individualized room decorations to a tropical environment, to peaceful terraces, to a delicious breakfast, the Casa Castellana Bed and Breakfast Inn, will offer guests a memorable experience. The owners pride themselves in taking care of their guests and making them feel at home, from the first moment they step into the Casa Castellana.

The rooms are named after different romantic cities of Old Spain. It is perfect for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or for a cozy visit before or after a Caribbean cruise. Located in the middle of El Condado, on a quiet side street, Casa Castellana is within walking distance to the beach, night clubs, and casinos. It is ten minutes by car from picturesque Old San Juan or the airport. You can join one of many sight-seeing tours, or just read and relax on the tree-shaded Salon Avila terrace!

In the morning, owner-hostess Natalia will prepare your home -cooked breakfast, that includes family recipes, such as eggs cooked to order, gourmet local pastries, Spanish loaf bread, orange juice, and freshly brewed coffee from one of our local plantations. If you prefer, you can prepare something for yourself in our fully-equipped kitchen.

The current proprietors acquired the property in 2009 and made extensive renovations to preserve the historic nature of the house and lovingly adapt it as a B&B. The conversion to a B&B was done with the idea that eventually it would revert to a single-family home – so the original layout and character have been preserved. After achieving her dream of operating the highest-rated B&B in San Juan, the current owner is ready to retire and offer this unique property for sale.

The house was originally built in the 1920's and renovated in the 1950's. The signature features of the house are the antique stained glass windows (see gallery on website), rare Puerto Rican marble floors from quarries in Barranquitas and Las Marias & ‘sunken marble tub’ in master bath.

During the ‘golden age’ of Condado society – the house was the scene of many a lavish party in its rooftop penthouse and expansive terrace.

Located on a corner lot one block from Antonia Quinones Park – within walking distance to Condado beaches, resorts, boutiques & restaurants. Three blocks from Ave. R.H. Todd with easy access to highways or walk to Santurce Arts District, museums, cultural and local areas like Placita de Santurce & public transportation.
