Moab is home to Arches & Canyonlands National Parks, world renowned 4 Wheel Drive trails, biking, hiking and rafting, all surrounded by magnificent scenery of red rocks, the Colorado & Green Rivers, and glorious blue skies.
Lovingly decorated and carefully maintained, this well-established B&B consistently earns high marks on travel websites and rave reviews from guests. The property is in downtown Moab, just two blocks from the restaurants and shops on Main Street but nestled in a quiet neighborhood to provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for visitors. Built on a 0.35-acre lot, the operation includes the Main House, Innkeeper Residence, two cottages, an office, additional outbuildings, gardens and ample parking – all providing a multitude of options for a new owner.
Surrounded by a cheerful picket fence and graced by a large welcoming porch in front, the brick and stucco Main House is the heart of Cali Cochitta. The Main House has beautifully refinished wood floors, and contains 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a shared kitchen with newer appliances, and a cozy gathering room. Breakfast is served in the dining room decorated with Tuscan style faux paint, an enormous table with seating for 14, an antique buffet, hutch and other period appropriate decor.
The first floor has two lovely bedrooms with queen beds and en suite bathrooms. The second level houses the larger Cenca room with a queen bed and daybed, and has an en suite bath. Up a few steps you will find the two room Cochita suite which sleeps 4 and has a dedicated bathroom a few steps away.
Step out the back door and you are greeted by another large dining area protected by an arbor covered with mature wisteria and grape vines. Guests mingle around the large table and raised bar area or seek more seclusion in one of the many furnished nooks scattered throughout this whimsical oasis of beauty and entertainment. After a day of hiking, biking, rafting and exploring, guests can soak in the hot tub. The cottages and other buildings surround the perimeter of the yard, to add to the privacy of the delightful gardens.
Artfully designed of brick and stucco, the ivy-covered Garden Cottage evokes images of the English Countryside, and sleeps 3. Enter the cottage to the sitting room with pull out twin bed, small appliances and bath, and head up a couple steps to the separate bedroom.
Next door is the Willow Cottage. This recently enlarged unit has Saltillo tile floors, a sitting area, queen bed and bath.
Currently used as the innkeeper’s residence, the next building could be added to the pool of rooms for rent for additional income. The first level has an open concept kitchen, dining and living room, with polished concrete floors, and double laundry closets. Upstairs are two bedrooms with pine flooring and 2 bathrooms. The larger bedroom includes an en suite full bath, and a deck overlooking the grounds. The second bedroom has an attached Jack-and-Jill ¾ bathroom.
Presently a dedicated office space, the little wood cabin at the back of the yard could be transformed into an adorable rental with the addition of a bathroom. The attached porch swing adds a welcoming feel to this building. The other outbuildings are used to store supplies and food for the operation, bicycles for guest use, and equipment to maintain the yard and buildings, but could be modified to include the laundry facilities or other rentals.
The units have window mounted air conditioners which allow patrons to control the temperature of their rooms, and a coded lock on the doors for privacy. There a small refrigerators and microwaves in the cottages.
