The front entrance, complete with a sea serpent knocker, provides a warm greeting through double doors to the vestibule. The next set of double doors will find you in the foyer, compelled by the rich woodwork of the curved stairway, stained glass and wall niches. Turn right to enter the front parlor that sets the tone for Oakley Hill Manor with rich wooden and intricate 10-foot trey ceiling, an embellished ornate fireplace, captivating crown molding, and exquisite wainscot wood paneling. Many of these same features are found throughout including transoms, builtin-ins, interior wooden shutters, original hardwood floors, and a second story sleeping porch.
Cambridge has attracted several sophisticated developers from Alexandria, D.C., and Baltimore who are investing hundreds of millions of dollars right now. Prices are undervalued but beginning to firm.
