Anna V’s Bed & Breakfast, in the charming, historic town of Lanesboro. This Victorian home, built in 1908 by Anna Vickerman, was designed in the classic Queen Anne style with a wraparound front porch, intricately designed filigree, carved woodwork, and a distinctive turret. Local legend says Anna, recently widowed after the death of her husband, Isaac sat on the front lawn in her rocking chair and personally inspected the construction of the house. Anna lived her for many years with her two daughters Hazel and Ola. We think she had a good eye and would still be proud of her home more than a century later!
The home's main floor has Gentlemen's and Ladies' parlors, a Dining Room, and Kitchen. There are three guest bedrooms on the second floor: The Rose Room, the Heritage Suite, and Anna's Suite. The third floor is our Brooklyn Suite, our largest guest room and a main floor Owner's living quarters. Anna V's offers a comfortable elegance, delicious breakfasts, and a friendly atmosphere along with original features including the impressive open staircase, wood floors, pocket doors, and built in hutch There's a century-old horse barn on the property, currently used as the bike barn. Beautifully landscaped keeping with the era along with the gardens providing fresh fruit and vegetables, including raspberries, apples, and rhubarb. Relax and on the front porch, reading a book or sipping lemonade with friends.
