Gorgeous Upscale Boutique Lodge

A four-season Lodge on the Lochsa River in North Central Idaho, the original Lochsa Lodge was built in 1929 by Andrew Erickson for a commercial hunting lodge. Sportsmen traveled by trail from Missoula, Montana and by Lolo Motorway from Kooskia, Idaho to stay at the Lodge, which was at the heart of some of the wildest country in the lower 48 states.

Highway 12 was completed in 1963 from Kooskia to Lolo, Montana improving access and opening the road to many other prospects for the Lodge. In May of 2002, the new Lodge opened with beautiful hand-scribed logs. The new building includes a library/meeting space, river view deck, gift shop, dining room and tavern.

There are no guest rooms in the main Lodge. Lochsa Lodge has a variety of accommodations, including rustic cabins and more modern facilities. The property can host a variety of group sizes and is available for special events. Guest facilities are clean, safe and well maintained. The U.S. Forest Service maintains campgrounds near the Lodge during the summer season.

Location:
Highway 12 and the Lochsa Lodge are open every day, year-round, including holidays. The Country Store is a unique piece of the Lochsa Lodge history. It offers snacks, sodas, ice, fishing and hunting supplies and licenses, gas and groceries. The restaurant features soups, desserts and specializing in mouth-watering steaks, seafood, and burgers while the tavern spotlights local brews and cocktails. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served year-round.
