This impeccable, warm and welcoming home was built in 2005 specifically to operate as a Bed and Breakfast Inn. The private Crane Room guest suite is just beyond the spacious entry on the lower level as you come into the home. This is an ideal "stay area" for your longer term guests, complete with private ensuite restroom and VIEW.
Also on the lower level, with internal access through the garage for the owners and private entrances from the south side of the home for guests, are the Pheasant and Ptarmigan Rooms. These also have individual private baths and a private outdoor patio area, perfect for sipping morning tea or coffee and enjoying the view...
Up a flight of stairs and you enter the great room with great, great views!
The vaulted kitchen and great room ceiling pull you right in to enjoy the open living area and the fabulous BIG BAY VIEWS beyond.
The living room, dining room, large private master bedroom and southfacing second bedroom all have great views. The large full length deck is just waiting for you to relax and enjoy the view as well, or fire up the bbq and be ready to entertain!

Off the living room is a separate media room, library or office. It is a nice space that can be closed off or open to the great room. It is also a perfect 'getaway" area for the owner/operator/host.
In the great room, besides all of the wonderful gathering area is a beautiful wood stove that you will love on those snowy winter days. The home itself is evenly heated with radiant in floor heating throughout, so keeping warm is not an issue, woodstove on or not.
The central kitchen is another great space. It features granite countertops and custom hickory cabinets with tons of storage and specialty areas. A large adjacent laundry area has an additional pantry and the upstairs access to the dumbwaiter in the garage! Getting groceries upstairs in this home is no challenge at all.
Off the kitchen is the laundry control center, with tons of room for loading and folding. Yes that is an integral part of a bed and breakfast operation! Also in this area is another large pantry, more storage and the dumbwaiter.
The master bedroom is spacious, sun drenched and has it's own access to a recessed portion of the large southside deck. It is a private haven and so comfortable-LARGE, and I mean LARGE, walk in closet, master bath with jetted tub and separate shower-you will love it.
There is also the Puffin Suite on the upper level, which has 2 large bedrooms and the two share a full bath and have plenty of privacy. The south facing bedroom, as I mentioned before, has a great view of the Bay and the north facing bedroom has a great view of the hillside!
And the garage! It is a garageapalooza! HUGE, has tons of storage, high ceilings, a 2 car garage door for vehicles and a one car garage for big boy toys, like snow machines, 4 wheelers, etc...

The primary "season" of operations with the highest occupancy is during the fantastic Alaskan summers, from May through September. Crane's Rest does remain open year round, as opposed to many other local bed and breakfasts who close during the shoulder season.
