Ticknor Hill Bed and Breakfast
Anoka, MN
Offered for sale at $900,000
The Ticknor Hill B&B has a rich history. Heman Ticknor came to the growing river town of Anoka in 1855. He built and owned a dry good and grocery store. He changed the business over to a cigar manufacturing company and then expanded the business to a full drug store in 1864. In 1865 Heman married Anna Greenwald and then in 1867 built their new home between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Four generations of Ticknors lived in this home. It was sold to a non-relative in the 1970s. In 1996 the home was bought and turned into a Bed and Breakfast. This is a turn-key business and includes all of the Inn decor, furnishing and linens.
