The Attractions

Set in the rolling foothills of the Brushy Mountains, this property has so much to offer. The Yadkin Valley viticultural area is a huge draw for tourist. The primary inn faces the Windsor Run Cellar's vineyard and tasting room. It is common to see tour buses and stretch limos (including stretch SUV's) visiting the tasting room. There are several wineries and tasting rooms within biking distance. There are also wine tours available highlighting specific regions of the wine country within a few miles of the inn. If you are willing to branch out, there are 43 wineries within 30 miles and 54 within 50 miles.
When visiting, look for the distinctive clip-clop of buggy horses as they trot by the main house. Real Estate in the area is very limited due to the Amish population in the area. On a Sunday you may see up to 30 buggies on the roads around the Inn, with many passing by the Inn itself. The Amish store with hot bread and Amish made jellies is within bike riding distance. The Amish furniture store is even closer.
The Amish often hold cookouts, the wineries hold tours, and there are bike races through the area several times a year. During the Summer, there is an event within biking distance nearly every week.

The Inns

The main house is a quaint, white, North Carolina farmhouse that conjures images of apple pies, sweet tea, and simpler times. It was built in 1942 as a traditionally styled farmhouse. Remodeled in the 90’s, it was updated to include a more open floor plan. There are three bedrooms with two lounge areas. Although there are 1.5 baths, one lounge area could be reduced to allow the ½ bath to convert to a master bathroom. The Amish furniture and neighbors add to the ambience of a slice in time from yesteryear.
The Cabin is a converted two-story tobacco barn with an addition for a master bedroom. There is also a bedroom upstairs. The basement is not being utilized, but could be renovated into a master suite with a private entrance. The cabin is not completely finished, and will require power, sewer, and completion.

The Venues

The Pond’s embankment is slightly inclined for the perfect amphitheater-like wedding venue. With plenty of parking in the field behind, and an Amish farm to the side, this venue allows for picture perfect weddings and receptions. Line the embankment with hay bales for a pure country wedding, or use lace draped chairs and trellises for a union immersed in Southern charm.

The Barn is a two-story hay barn with the classic jointed roof, intricate timber framing, and clapboard siding. A landmark in the area, this structure is the perfect setting for photographers looking for a backdrop that is country and classy in a beautifully Carolina way. This is also a great area to hold receptions and gatherings for weddings and reunions. For a unique wedding experience, the loft is capable of seating roughly 25 people, providing a cathedral-like experience for wedding goers.

Local Real-Estate

The Amish often buy and hold property when they purchase acreage in an area. This caused there to be a scarcity of properties available in this area before the recent real estate trends started. This has also made Windsor Inns and Venue an even more unique property by guaranteeing the ambience that makes it so attractive.
