The 1906 Pine Crest Inn is a bed and breakfast country inn and full-service bar and restaurant located in Tryon, NC on nearly 10 acres serenely located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and features 37 rooms, suites, and cottages in eleven buildings, including a 260-year-old log cabin once frequented by F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemmingway. All the accommodations have private baths and are individually decorated, most with natural gas fireplaces and many with jetted tubs.

The property also incorporates a modern two-story conference facility with three dedicated conference rooms and a service kitchen, making it perfect for group retreats, corporate meetings, or family reunions. The beautifully landscaped grounds include a gazebo and large lawn ideally suited for destination weddings and other outdoor events.

The restaurant, Carter’s Tavern & Wine Cellar, has a very large fully-equipped commercial kitchen, walk-in cooler, plus two dining rooms that will seat roughly 80 patrons and bar with full NC ABC licensing for beer, wine, and spirits.
The “Hidden Gem of Tryon” has been featured in Southern Living, Fodor’s, and Our State Magazine, and has won numerous awards including the AAA Four-Diamond Award, “Best Breakfast in the Southeast” by Inn Traveler, and the prestigious Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence.”

The inn is only minutes from the Tryon International Equestrian Center, golf, tennis, mountain biking, fly fishing, and FENCE (Foothills Equestrian Nature Center), where there are miles of hiking and horseback riding trails. Nearby you will find the Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Estate, dozens of waterfalls, as well as art galleries, quaint stores, and antique shops.

Tryon, NC is celebrating over 125 years as "The friendliest town in the South."

Tryon is located only four miles west of Interstate Highway 26 (Exit 67) on US Highway 176/NC Highway 108. Although a small community with an abundance of rural character, Tryon is within easy driving distance of many major population centers - Spartanburg, SC (30 miles), Greenville, SC (31 miles), Asheville, NC (45 miles), Charlotte, NC (88 miles), Columbia, SC (118 miles), and Atlanta, GA (191 miles). We like to think that Tryon is close enough to everything, but not too close for comfort.

Tryon is home to the Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort (TIEC), which is the ultimate destination for all who love horses, outdoor living, and an active lifestyle. TIEC offers first-class facilities for equestrian events of all levels and disciplines. Located in the Blue Ridge Foothills of Mill Spring, NC, the competition experience is complemented by diverse onsite restaurants, a variety of shops, relaxing lodging getaways, family entertainment, and more.
