Across the hall is a quaint dining room with a simple yet detailed chandelier from the 1800's that has performed its duty through oil, gas and finally electricity shining brighter than it has ever shined.
The kitchen refurbished in the forties is bright and airy with lots of cupboards and work space. There is a dishwasher, built in microwave and range, all very modern standing by ready to perform at a moments notice. The Inn Keeper has fixed many a gourmet meals in this kitchen. Through the doorway you can enter into a modern utility room with freezers, washer & dryer, ironing board, storage, counter tops and food pantry. This room has exits stepping down into hallways which exit into the garden. Or take the stairs or elevator to the Inn Keepers quarters. You could continue through the back hall to have quiet access to the guest cottage. Following the hall you find the carriage house now a spacious two car garage. The elevator opens up on this floor to assist you with the groceries that need to be stored away in the pantry. I could take you on through the garden to the pool side or to a private cottage. We could roam the grounds however I choose to take you back to the beginning lest we hurry through and miss something.
Back in the grand hallway with parlors and bedrooms and offices there is a set of french doors wide opened beckoning us to climb the winding staircase that opens up into a beautiful massive ballroom with a domed acoustic ceiling and two stages. Off of the ballroom are doorways. Doorways that lead to suites with private baths. The antique furnishings and Victorian style marry perfectly as if this was the furniture placed in the home 117 years ago. There is a common powder room, a kitchenette. You can exit the ballroom to a balcony landing that has stairs winding to and fro.
