Though renovations and upgrades abound, the unique character of the era has been carefully preserved. Visitors are dazzled with the eye candy of expertly composed color schemes, a veritable art Gallery of Original Russian and Azerbaijani Paintings, and original 19th century elements and details preserved throughout. One B&B Guest commented, THIS House is AMAZING.

The spacious sunny first floor boasts tall ceilings; tall windows, carved brass window locks, original hardwood doors, porcelain knobs, Sliding locks or skeleton Keys (that work!) and nooks, crannies, built in cabinets, and doors galore. (1 or 2 doors - the owners claim to have yet to venture to open!) The Living Rooms focal point is its exquisite 1850c 10 tall Mirror framed with crown molding and a statuary marble seat;

The Dining Room has Marigold Italian Plaster walls, a Tiffany ceiling chandelier, and 5 period sconces circling the table for mood lighting. The first floor also features a large sunny room with an extraordinary geometric floor design faithful to the period, taylored as an office(300 SF). Other 1st Floor rooms include an anteroom off the kitchen (currently used as an art studio, that could just as easily become a Sunroom or Guest Parlor.); a Butler Pantry joining the Kitchen and Dining Rooms, with LOTS of food storage space, and an early 20th century ceiling lamp. (The root cellar in the back of the basement adds a wealth of food storage for drygoods and vegetables)

From here you get to one of the houses 2 stair cases; The front Foyer's elegant staircase boasts 15 soft blue wool carpeted steps, over which a stately 2 story Mural towers (Kouznetsovs Erie Canal Locks at Lockport NY, celebrating a NYS relic that only slightly pre-dates the house.) The original solid wood balustrades draw you up to an expansive 2nd floor landing, wide plank original flooring, and the hallways of 6 bedrooms.

NOTE: The 1st Floor (7th) Bedroom is a 'Mother-in-Law Suite', with an in-suite bath, walk-in closet; and renovated bath with marble sink and rain shower. The bathroom features handles on the wall and shower to assist the elderly.)

The owners exquisite design style is demonstrated by the uniqueness of the 7 Bedrooms. World class decorative artists whose works have been featured in over 30 magazines, on HGTV twice, and in a Dreamworks movie (Head of State with Chris Rock) the pair went to town on the bedrooms. Expertly coordinated in color and mood, there is a room for every taste; No attention to detail was spared in making the bedrooms as comfortable as possible.
